When Martha Stewart departed from prison, she was sporting an elegant poncho. Let the furor begin! Since then, requests for the poncho's pattern have skyrocketed, including those to The Daily Knitter. Several yarn companies have already created their version of the popular item, which was originally crocheted by a fellow inmate.
Lion Brand Yarn Company has created a knit version of the pattern and calls it the "Coming Home" Poncho, knit with their Homespun yarn. The pattern can be viewed on their website at
